In the state of production…
The Trinity is a provocative cleansing journey along theology/philosophy, voodoo, body-movement and childhoods. The auditorium as a playground to react and rethink the cultural, historical and political relationship between fatherhood, masculinity, Christianity and power.
A choreographic purification ritual, where daily kids-toys, music and actions take a hyperreal shape under the dual horizon of love and death, violence and emancipation, childhood and adulthood. Unveiling the paradoxical resistance and violence of accepting to perform a role, in an imposed narrative, in which one is a byproduct or consequence of it.
What means to decline to play a role in a narrative that has been imposed?
What means to be what one is, when the circumstances in which we are, are not the circumstances designed for what one is?
La Trinidad ultimately proves to be a source of attraction and repulsion, a fantasy with no final word. The performance is an opportunity for active refusal, but it has no ambition to univocally determine what it affirms.
